Terms of Service
Last updated: May 11, 2026
1. Acceptance
By accessing or using ScrumTool at scrumtool.io ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of service
ScrumTool provides web-based Scrum ceremony tools including retrospective boards, planning poker, and async standup features. Features and pricing are described at scrumtool.io/pricing.
3. Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.
You may use ScrumTool as an anonymous guest without an account. Guest sessions are subject to the same usage terms as registered accounts.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to transmit unlawful, harmful, or abusive content
- Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or otherwise extract data from the Service at scale
- Use the Service to send unsolicited communications
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
5. Content ownership
You retain ownership of all content you create in ScrumTool — retro cards, standup submissions, action items, and all other data. By using the Service, you grant ScrumTool a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely to provide the Service.
We do not use your content to train AI models. AI summaries are generated on demand and processed only as needed to produce your requested output.
6. Subscriptions and billing
ScrumTool offers Free, Pro, and Team plans. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial periods.
7. Free plan limits
The Free plan is subject to usage limits described on the pricing page. We reserve the right to modify Free plan limits with reasonable notice.
8. Service availability
We aim to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance that causes temporary downtime. We will communicate planned downtime in advance where possible.
9. Termination
You may close your account at any time by contacting support. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days unless required to be retained by law.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular purpose.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ScrumTool shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
